Malinovsky to Defense Minister: Evacuate UNRWA or I'll Petition the High Court

MK Yulia Malinovsky (Yisrael Beiteinu) threatens to petition the High Court against the government if it does not fully implement the UNRWA laws. In a statement, Malinovsky claims that despite the laws being approved by the Knesset, UNRWA is still operating in Kafr Aqab and Area C. Malinovsky, who initiated the laws, stated that the first law passed in October 2024 and that the High Court has not issued an order against it. According to her, the petition against the laws is still ongoing, but there is no legal impediment preventing the government and ministers from acting to implement them. She further claimed that she sent letters to the Defense Minister and the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, and requested tours on the matter, but received no response. According to her, the Defense Minister has not issued an order to evacuate UNRWA from the areas where it operates, even though she says this authority lies with him. Malinovsky said: "If the government does not come to its senses and implement the UNRWA laws to the last letter, I will petition against it to the High Court and expose its true face to the public." She accused the government of not implementing Knesset laws while simultaneously placing the blame on the High Court.
