Maldini's son scores a goal, goes out to celebrate and injures six people in an accident

Daniel Maldini, the 24-year-old Cagliari striker and son of football legend Paolo Maldini, is in trouble following a car accident in Milan. The incident occurred just hours after he scored the winning goal in Cagliari's 2-1 victory over Atalanta. Maldini was driving a Porsche Carrera with three passengers and failed to yield to a Volkswagen Golf carrying a man and a woman. Six people were lightly injured in the collision. Maldini failed an alcohol test at the scene: the first test showed 0.91 mg/l and the second 0.89 mg/l, above the legal limit in Italy (0.5 mg/l). The police confiscated his license. Additionally, he failed an initial drug test, and results of a full toxicology test are pending. Maldini was released from Fatebenefratelli Hospital and returned home. Cagliari gave him a day off, and he is expected to return to training today. The club has not yet officially responded.
