Major European airline returns to Ben-Gurion Airport

Starting October 26, with the transition to winter schedule, the company resumes direct flights between Copenhagen and Ben-Gurion Airport. Flights will operate four times a week — on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturday evenings. The line will be served by Airbus A320neo aircraft. Passengers will have access to economy and business class. For SAS, this is the second attempt to establish itself in Israel after a long break. In October 2025, the company had already resumed flights to Tel Aviv after more than ten years of absence, but then the frequency was limited to three flights per week. Soon the carrier had to completely suspend flights due to the deteriorating security situation. The current return demonstrates greater confidence: the increase in frequency to four flights per week confirms high demand and a gradual normalization of air traffic.
