London Mayor: Netanyahu Not Welcome in the British Capital, We Will Support Execution of Arrest Warrant

London Mayor Sadiq Khan stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not welcome in the city, calling for the execution of the International Criminal Court's arrest warrant against him on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Khan emphasized he would pressure the British Prime Minister to ensure the law is applied.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan declared that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is "not welcome" in the city, urging the execution of the International Criminal Court's arrest warrant against him should he visit the United Kingdom. In an interview with Britain's Channel 4 News, Khan said that "those accused of genocide must face justice," stressing he would pressure the British Prime Minister to ensure the law is applied and the arrest warrant against Netanyahu is executed if he enters British territory. Khan's remarks come amid the ongoing validity of the ICC arrest warrant against Netanyahu since November 2024, on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip. While Khan's statements drew Israeli criticism, they also garnered support from activists and politicians who viewed them as a reaffirmation of the need to hold those responsible for violations against Palestinians accountable.
