The Tel Aviv Municipality announced an increase in parking tariffs starting August 2, 2026. The first hour for non-residents will rise from 20 to 24 shekels, and for residents from 5 to 6 shekels. The resident discount at several parking lots will be reduced from 75% to 50%. The decision comes amid the preservation of the Parking Law.

The Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality, together with Beach Estates, announced an update to parking tariffs effective August 2, 2026. The first hour for non-residents will increase from 20 to 24 shekels, and for residents from 5 to 6 shekels. Single entry and evening parking for non-residents will rise from 30 to 36 shekels, and for residents from 7.5 to 9 shekels. At the Tel Nordau, Basel, Sheraton, Bograshov, and Bnei Dan parking lots, the resident discount will drop from 75% to 50%. After 96 hours of continuous parking, residents will lose the reduced rate (effective date not announced). The price increase is attributed to rising maintenance costs and the switch to per-minute billing, which reduced revenue. The municipality claims tariffs will remain lower than private lots. The decision comes as the repeal of the Parking Law failed due to opposition from ultra-Orthodox parties.
