Likud sold party assets to insiders at huge discounts off market prices

A Calcalist investigation reveals that the Likud party has sold 8 of its 37 assets since 2021, of which 4 transactions were to party insiders and stakeholders, with discounts of hundreds of thousands of shekels and even one million shekels below market value. Among the buyers: Zvi Fishbach, the "strongman" of the Bnei Brak branch, and attorney Dovi Shrezer, a key witness in Netanyahu's defense. The assets were sold without a public tender, sometimes via WhatsApp groups of Likud members. The State Comptroller is examining the issue.

A Calcalist investigation reveals that the Likud party has sold eight of its 37 assets since 2021, with four of the transactions made to party stakeholders: central committee members, associates of the leadership, or their family members. Among the buyers: Zvi Fishbach, considered the "strongman" of the Bnei Brak branch, and attorney Dovi Shrezer, a key witness in Netanyahu's defense in his trial. The two each purchased 25% of the Bnei Brak branch for about 1.7 million shekels, a discount of hundreds of thousands of shekels according to an appraiser. An apartment in Jaffa was sold in October 2025 to Eliyahu Tsa'ada, a new Likud central committee member, and two of his family members for 1.77 million shekels – a discount of up to one million shekels from market value, according to appraisers. The branch in Tirat Carmel was sold to the Vanunu family, close to Likud, for 2.5 million shekels. The branch in Hatzor HaGlilit was sold to Likud activist Avi Bonifed for 1.4 million shekels. In these transactions, there are discrepancies between Likud's reports to tax authorities. In contrast, four other transactions (Haifa, Holon) were made at market prices to buyers unaffiliated with the party. The sales were conducted without a public tender, sometimes via publication in WhatsApp groups. The State Comptroller is examining the issue.
