Likud senior official crafts deal for primaries: without Gottlieb - but with Barkat and Bitan

The list includes Amir Ohana, David Bitan, Dudi Amsalem, Nir Barkat, Gila Gamliel, Miki Zohar, Eli Cohen, Ofir Katz, Yariv Levin, Miri Regev, Shlomo Karhi, and Yoav Kisch. MK Tali Gottlieb is left out of the deal, but not due to a request from Netanyahu. The list also includes David Bitan, who has fought against the prime minister, and Nir Barkat, whose failed 'putsch' attempt has become a major obstacle for him. Other candidates who will receive some of the votes include Shalom Danino, Ze'ev Elkin, Sasson Gueta, Avi Dichter, Almog Cohen, Hanoch Milvitsky, Idit Silman, Keti Shitrit, and Amichai Shikli. The primaries are the climax of the intrigues within the ruling party in recent years.
