Likud loses ground after primaries – new poll

A new Kan-11 and Kantar Institute poll, conducted after the Likud primaries, shows the Yashar party becoming the largest with 24 seats, while Likud drops to second place with 22. The coalition bloc gets 51 seats, the opposition 57, with neither bloc able to form a government independently. Gadi Eisenkot leads Netanyahu in a hypothetical matchup.

Kan-11 has published the results of a weekly poll conducted by the Kantar Institute after the Likud primaries. The survey shows a notable shift in the balance of power: the Yashar party becomes the largest with 24 seats, while Likud drops to second place with 22 — one seat fewer than in the previous poll. Beyahad gets 14 seats, Democratim 10, Otzma Yehudit and Yisrael Beitenu 9 each. Yahadut HaTorah can count on 8 seats, Shas and Hadash-Taal 7 each. Tzionut Datit and Raam get 5 seats each. In a hypothetical prime ministerial matchup, Gadi Eisenkot leads Benjamin Netanyahu 41% to 35%. In the Netanyahu-Naftali Bennett pairing, the advantage is minimal: 37% to 36%. Several political forces fail to cross the electoral threshold, including the parties of Hili Tropper, Yaron Zaliha, Ofer Winter, and Benny Gantz. With this seat distribution, the current coalition bloc gets 51 seats, opposition parties excluding Arab lists get 57. Neither of the two main blocs has the necessary majority to form a government independently.
