Likud Attorney Attacks: 'Hosting Voters from Abroad is Bribery, KKL Chairman Violates the Law'

Concurrently, Bombach discussed the Likud legal advisor's appeal to the Central Elections Committee to ban free hosting of Israeli voters abroad, which he claims constitutes election bribery. He relied on Section 122 of the Elections Law, which prohibits providing benefits to influence voting, and on a 2022 ruling by Judge Hanan Melcer. Bombach clarified that hosting close relatives is permitted, but organized hosting of strangers in exchange for persuading them to vote is prohibited.
