Likud officials assess that Yisrael Beiteinu chairman Avigdor Liberman is pushing for a rotation government with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. MK Avichai Boaron, in an interview with Radio North 104.5FM, claimed that behind Liberman's stated line lies an aspiration to become prime minister himself. Boaron said: 'Avigdor Liberman's entire goal is to rake in as many mandates as possible to negotiate with Likud and enter a rotation for the premiership.' According to him, Liberman insists on repeating 'Naftali Bennett's stinking maneuver, with very few mandates and very little public support.' Boaron also addressed Netanyahu's call to form a broad national government, clarifying that this does not mean giving up Likud's traditional partnerships, but expanding the bloc to additional parties. He estimated that Benny Gantz will be a swing vote in the next government. Additionally, Boaron addressed the possibility that Netanyahu would receive slots on the list, saying that the party's good comes before personal considerations.
