Known Criminal Shot Dead in Netivot; Police Launch Investigation

A man in his 40s, known to police as a local criminal, was shot and killed last night (Saturday) in Netivot. Another man, 29, was lightly wounded in the leg and treated by MDA forces. Police opened an investigation into the incident and stated that the background is criminal. Officers from the Netivot station began collecting evidence and conducting searches for suspects. MDA reported that at 21:37 a report was received of two wounded, one in critical condition and one lightly. After resuscitation efforts, the critically wounded man was pronounced dead. Senior paramedic Uriel Cohen said the wounded man lay in a parking lot unconscious, without a pulse and without breathing. They performed advanced resuscitation, but the injury was fatal. During searches in nearby buildings, they located the second wounded man, who was taken to the hospital in light condition.
