Kahlon connected: former MK joins Ardan's party founding team
Former MK Roy Folkman, a senior member of Moshe Kahlon's Kulanu party, has joined the founding team of Gilad Ardan's new party, 'HaAchdut'. Folkman is involved in staff work and building the new party, but at this stage is not expected to be integrated into the Knesset list. Kahlon is the one who connected the two. Folkman served as an MK in the 20th and 21st Knessets and was the faction chairman.
Former MK Roy Folkman, a senior member of Moshe Kahlon's Kulanu party, has joined the founding team of the new party 'HaAchdut' (The Unity) led by Gilad Ardan. Folkman has recently been involved in staff work and building the new party, and is among the team working on establishing the infrastructure ahead of the elections. Kahlon is the one who connected Folkman and Ardan. However, at this stage Folkman is not expected to integrate himself into the party's Knesset list, and his current role is in the founding team, although this may change later. Folkman served as an MK on behalf of Kulanu in the 20th and 21st Knessets, served as faction chairman, and is considered one of the people closest to Moshe Kahlon. He was a partner in establishing Kulanu, which first ran in the 2015 elections and won ten seats. This morning, Oren Smadja, an Olympic medalist and former national judo coach, also announced his joining the party, which Ardan established with Yuli Edelstein. Just yesterday, Ardan revealed the party's name and slogan 'Real right. Real draft', and announced the joining of MK Aliza Bloch.
