Moshe Green's 'Tzomet' party will merge with Eli Goldschmidt and Brig. Gen. (res.) Danny Van Buren's 'Israel Mitpakchet' party, a move that increases competition in the right-wing camp ahead of the elections. The agreement has not yet been signed but is expected to be signed this week.

Just before the elections, Moshe Green's 'Tzomet' party is merging with Eli Goldschmidt and Brig. Gen. (res.) Danny Van Buren's 'Israel Mitpakchet' party. Goldschmidt, former chairman of the Labor Party faction, explains that his new party appeals to a broad Zionist public that is not represented, including those disillusioned by the events of October 7. Internal polls for Tzomet give it one and a half mandates alone, but the merger is expected to push it above the electoral threshold. The agreement has not yet been signed but will be signed this week, and Tzomet is discussing additional mergers with Gilad Erdan, Ayelet Shaked, and others.
