Just before the derby: 15-year-old arrested in Jaffa with flares near Bloomfield Stadium

Tel Aviv District police arrested a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of attempting to ignite flares on Jerusalem Boulevard in Jaffa, near Bloomfield Stadium. The arrest was carried out as part of police preparations for the derby match between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv. During an operational activity by detectives from the Ayalon district, officers spotted the suspect and arrested him. The teenager was transferred for further handling and questioning at the Jaffa police station. Police stated that preparations for the match continue, and officers will act against acts of violence, public disturbances, and attempts to bring prohibited items into the stadium.
