According to the verdict, Dager planned the murder in advance: he purchased a scooter, removed the license plate, and rode to Sitawi's home wearing a helmet and holding a loaded gun. On November 25, 2021, around 15:17, he arrived at her home in Majar in the Lower Galilee. Sitawi and her 10.5-year-old daughter were at home. Dager shot her at close range in front of the girl, and then fired two additional bullets at close range to ensure her death. After the murder, he tried to destroy evidence but was arrested a week later when he returned to retrieve the scooter. The court noted that Dager did not take responsibility and expressed no remorse. It was determined that he would pay compensation of 258,000 shekels to her family.
