Jordan: Jerusalem is occupied land and Israel's measures there are illegitimate

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi affirmed that Jerusalem is occupied land and that Israel has no sovereignty over it, stressing the illegitimacy of Israeli measures in the city. He called on the international community to act immediately to stop violations, warning of their repercussions on the region. He emphasized that protecting Jerusalem is an Arab, Islamic, and international responsibility.

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi affirmed that the city of Jerusalem is occupied land, stressing that Israel has no sovereignty over it and that none of the decisions or measures taken by the occupation authorities in the holy city are legitimate. This came in remarks he made on Wednesday during a meeting in Amman regarding Jerusalem. Safadi stressed that Israeli measures in Jerusalem violate international law and international legitimacy resolutions. He called on the international community to take immediate action to stop the ongoing occupation violations in Jerusalem, warning of their repercussions on the situation in the Palestinian territories and the entire region. He also stressed that protecting Jerusalem is an Arab, Islamic, and international responsibility, emphasizing the need to unify efforts to support the steadfastness of Jerusalemites and preserve the historical and legal identity of the city and its holy sites.
