"It's simply a catastrophe": British senior official attacks the sanctions - and promises to cancel them

Tice warns of harm to the Jewish community, to the security cooperation with Israel, and to Britain's relations with the US. He promises that his party will cancel the sanctions if it comes to power.

Deputy Chairman of the "Reform UK" party, Member of Parliament Richard Tice, sharply attacks the British Labour government's decision to ban imports of goods produced in settlements in Judea and Samaria. In an interview with "Hayom" he warns that the decision is "wrong on so many levels" and endangers the Jewish community, which will suffer from increased antisemitism, the intelligence cooperation between Britain and Israel that has saved the lives of British citizens, and relations with the US. Tice promises that his party will cancel the sanctions, declare the Revolutionary Guards a terrorist organization, and act against organizations that support terrorism. He rejects the words of Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband, who defended the decision, and quotes the Chief Rabbi of Britain who called it "a dark day." Tice attributes the decision to a clear electoral consideration, claiming that Miliband is trying to win back votes lost to the Greens and the Muslim voter. A YouGov poll shows that 52% support the decision and 17% oppose it, but among "Reform UK" voters, opponents outnumber supporters.
