Israelis to Receive Compensation — Who Can Apply

A salary track for March–April 2026 is also open, offering 550 shekels per day of employee absence.
Israel's Tax Authority Compensation Fund has opened applications for indirect damage compensation under Operation 'Lion's Roar' for May–June 2026. Business owners whose operations were halted due to direct damage from military events, including rocket attacks, are eligible. Applications can be submitted by businesses that opened before February 27, 2026, with a 2022 transaction turnover between 12,000 and 400 million shekels, provided turnover dropped by at least 25%. Compensation is calculated using the methodology applied for March–April 2026. Applications are accepted until November 17, 2026. Additionally, a salary track for March–April 2026 is open: compensation for businesses and self-employed individuals for salaries paid to employees absent due to the security situation, including childcare for children under 14 in closed educational institutions, employees with disabilities, and educational staff in special zones. Compensation is 550 shekels per full working day. Applications for this track are accepted until December 31, 2026.
