Israeli space researcher Adi Ninio Greenberg passes away at 50

Dr. Adi Ninio Greenberg, director of academic relations at the Israel Space Agency, has passed away at the age of 50. Ninio Greenberg, considered a key figure in the space community, began her career as an officer in the Israeli Air Force, completed a PhD in comet research at Tel Aviv University, and led collaborations with NASA and the United Arab Emirates.

Dr. Adi Ninio Greenberg, director of academic relations at the Israel Space Agency, passed away yesterday (Thursday) at the age of 50. Ninio Greenberg was considered one of the key figures in the Israeli space community. Her professional career began as an officer and head of a section in the space division of the Israeli Air Force. She later completed a PhD at the comet research laboratory at Tel Aviv University, under the guidance of Prof. Akiva Bar-Nun, former director of the Space Agency. In recent years, she managed the academic relations department at the agency, leading national and international projects, including managing the scholarship program at NASA's Ames Research Center. She also promoted research collaborations with the United Arab Emirates as part of the Venus research satellite. Ninio Greenberg was one of the founders of the scientific track at the International Ilan Ramon Conference, led the Space Agency's research fund, and accompanied the development of the space community on the Campus IL platform. As a lecturer, she reached thousands of school and university students.
