After the dramatic rescue of four-year-old Yuval Kogan, who got lost during a family walk on the way to the sea and was found alive after more than a day of searching, Israel has seen an unprecedented surge in demand for children's GPS watches and safety trackers. According to Israel Hayom, demand has increased tenfold. Retail chains including Kravitz, Super-Pharm, A.L.M, Go Mobile, iCELL, Boom, Osher Ad, Max Stock, and Mahsanei Hashmal report an avalanche of sales. Suppliers are urgently moving shipments planned for September to early August. The most popular models are KidiWatch and Nickelodeon, as well as Apple AirTag and Samsung SmartTag trackers. Parents prefer devices with an SOS button, GPS module, safe zone function, and limited calls without access to social networks. Deputy CEO of Mahsanei Hashmal Liron Katz and BUG network manager Sharon Elias confirm that buyers are actively purchasing both basic and premium gadgets. The incident has forever changed the approach of Israeli families to children's safety on outings.
