Israeli incursion in rural Damascus and artillery shelling targets the vicinity of Beit Jinn

Syrian media reported that Israeli occupation forces targeted the Ain al-Shaara area near the town of Beit Jinn in rural Damascus with an artillery shell, which landed in agricultural land without causing injuries. Concurrently, Israeli forces infiltrated the town's agricultural lands with more than ten military vehicles, two tanks, and a bulldozer, amid escalating Israeli military activities in southern Syria.

Syrian media reported that Israeli occupation forces targeted the Ain al-Shaara area near the town of Beit Jinn in rural Damascus with an artillery shell, which landed in agricultural land without causing injuries, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA). Meanwhile, the Syrian Al-Ikhbariya channel stated that Israeli forces infiltrated the agricultural lands of Beit Jinn with more than ten military vehicles, supported by two tanks and a bulldozer. These developments come amid escalating Israeli military activities in southern Syria since Israel declared the collapse of the 1974 disengagement agreement following the fall of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's regime on December 8, 2024. Since then, occupation forces have expanded their presence in the buffer zone and other areas, with large parts of southern Syria witnessing repeated Israeli incursions, airstrikes, and artillery shelling on an almost daily basis, along with raids, searches, arrests, and the establishment of military checkpoints, according to Syrian media sources.
