Israeli sources revealed that an Israeli soldier committed suicide inside a military base in the occupied southern Palestine last night. The Hebrew newspaper Haaretz reported on Monday that 18 suicides have occurred in the army since the beginning of this year, and noted 22 suicides during 2025, the highest rate recorded by the Israeli army in 15 years, without providing further details. According to Israeli reports in recent months, the rise in suicides among soldiers is linked to the psychological repercussions of the Israeli genocidal war in Gaza, ongoing since October 8, 2023. The genocide, supported by the United States, has resulted in the martyrdom of more than 73,000 Palestinians, injuries to over 173,000 others, and widespread destruction affecting 90 percent of civilian infrastructure.
