According to media reports, the Israeli side insists on retaining the right to strike Hamas even after the second phase of the agreement takes effect, should the group attempt to rebuild its military infrastructure or pose a security threat. The demands have been passed to the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump. Another key condition is the complete destruction of the weapons that Hamas is to hand over, rather than transferring them to a third party for storage. Additionally, Israel demands that Qatar and Turkey not participate in the international mechanism overseeing the implementation of the agreement. Earlier, Trump announced understandings that include the full disarmament of Hamas, and it was reported that the process of handing over weapons could begin in the coming weeks. However, Hamas representatives interpret the conditions differently: a group representative in Iran, Khaled al-Qaddoumi, stated that the collection and storage of heavy weapons after the ceasefire should be handled exclusively by the Palestinian side.
