Iranian commander: If the US seizes the islands, they will become their cemeteries

A field commander in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy said in an interview with the newspaper Al-Akhbar that Iran had been ready for years for the possibility of closing the Strait of Hormuz. According to him, days before the elimination of leader Ali Khamenei, they were on alert and conducted maneuvers simulating a closure. After the Navy commander, Ali Reza Tangsiri, issued a decision to close, they moved to an attack posture. They announced to all ships on channel 16 that any attempt to pass would be attacked, and many did not take it seriously until the first missile was fired. Several Gulf states contacted Iran requesting passage, but were refused in most cases. The UAE was the first to make contact, before sending a delegation to ask to continue exporting Iranian vegetables, and the regime allowed it. The commander predicts the war will return because the US does not keep its promises. He said the US cannot establish a presence on the Iranian islands, and if it seizes them, they will become their cemeteries. He threatened an unprecedented response that will break all red lines.
