Dr. Tamar Eilam Gindin, an expert on the Iranian arena at the Ezri Center at the University of Haifa, was interviewed on Ron Kofman and Aryeh Eldad's program on Radio 103FM. According to her, the Islamic Republic has announced a bounty of several million dollars on Donald Trump's head, and any Iranian who kills an American soldier or brings about their arrest will receive $30,000 – double if the operative is a woman. However, she noted that the bounties are not particularly impressive. Gindin assessed that American sanctions will not topple the regime. According to her, the economic situation in Iran was already dire before, due to the war, the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the blockade on it, and there is a shortage of almost all goods. She noted that the 90 million citizens mostly do not support the regime, but the bad guy in their eyes right now is Trump, and they are in a survival mode that prevents protests. Regarding the Supreme Leader, she said that Iranians do not believe Mojtaba Khamenei is alive, and although Benjamin Netanyahu claimed in a podcast that he is alive, Iranians mocked this on social media. She added that even if he is alive, according to leaks he is not making decisions, and the Revolutionary Guards prevent him from appearing in public for security reasons.
