According to Eurasia Times, the aircraft may have remained almost intact, allowing Iranian specialists to study their equipment and technologies. Tehran also displayed debris of an F-15 fighter, but it is the drones that are of particular interest due to access to electronic components and surveillance systems. It is assumed that Iran could conduct reverse engineering to improve its own unmanned systems and develop countermeasures against Western and Israeli UAVs. Of particular value is the ability to understand the principles of detection and surveillance systems, which would allow searching for vulnerabilities. Iran already has experience in studying foreign equipment and has previously claimed to use technologies from captured Western drones. However, it is unknown how well the internal equipment has been preserved and which components have come into the hands of Iranian specialists.
