Iran's Threat to Saudi Arabia, and the Quote from a Defense Alliance Official

Pakistan's Defense Minister, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, called for the establishment of a united military front against Israel, calling it "a threat to the entire Muslim world" and "an illegitimate state." He referred to the new security agreement with Saudi Arabia and Turkey and called for its expansion to all Islamic countries. Meanwhile, Iranian sources warned that the alliance would not ensure Saudi Arabia's security.

Pakistan's Defense Minister, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, called today (Saturday) for the establishment of a united military front of Islamic countries against Israel, in an interview on television. Asif said that "Israel is a threat to the entire Muslim world" and that it is "an illegitimate state" created from the Balfour Declaration. He referred to the new trilateral security agreement signed between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, and called for its expansion to all Islamic countries, similar to NATO. According to him, the agreement is intended to address terrorist threats, including terrorism supported by India, and the lessons of the war last year. Asif emphasized that the change of government in Jerusalem will not change the attitude towards the Palestinians and the anti-Islamic sentiment. Meanwhile, Iranian sources, including a member of the National Security Committee in parliament, Mahmoud Nabavian, warned that the alliance would not ensure Saudi Arabia's security, in an attempt to downplay the importance of the agreement, as reported by CNN.
