Talks with Oman concern the definition of a new maritime route in the Strait of Hormuz and are in their final stages. However, this does not mean the strait will be opened: a possible agreement does not guarantee its reopening without meeting a number of conditions. Earlier, Donald Trump suggested the conflict could end without agreements on the nuclear program if Tehran agreed to fully open the strait, but by the end of the weekend the likelihood of such a scenario decreased.
