Iran demands harsh military response to Israel and US

The editor-in-chief of the Iranian conservative publication Kayhan, Hossein Shariatmadari, issued an urgent call for Iran's leadership not to abandon plans for severe retaliation against the US and Israel. In an interview with the Fars news agency, affiliated with the IRGC, he explained that abandoning a retaliatory strike would be seen as weakness and give Washington and Jerusalem tacit permission to continue hostile actions. Shariatmadari emphasized that a military action is a matter of national security, not emotions. He referred to written statements on behalf of Mojtaba Khamenei, which list uncompromising principles: keeping the Strait of Hormuz closed, paying compensation to Iran, complete withdrawal of American troops from the region, and excluding Iran's nuclear program from negotiations. The media manager rejected the possibility of postponing or canceling a military response as part of diplomatic bargaining, warning that concessions would damage the country's deterrence capability.
