The Global Alliance for Palestine (GAFP) announced the launch of a broad international campaign running from October 9 to 11, led by a global day of action on October 10. The campaign aims to organize simultaneous events in cities worldwide to pressure for an end to the Israeli war on Palestinians, impose an embargo on arms exports to Israel, and impose sanctions on it. In a statement on Tuesday, the alliance said the campaign targets engaging hundreds of organizations, civil movements, unions, and student networks in coordinated actions spanning Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas. It explained that October 10 will see marches, protests, student activities, and workplace actions. The alliance's Secretary-General, Anas Al-Tikriti, said that the continuation of the "genocide" war and international political silence makes standing as a spectator unacceptable. The campaign's demands center on halting arms supplies to Israel, imposing international sanctions on it, and supporting the boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) movement. The alliance also linked the war in the Gaza Strip to developments in the West Bank. The alliance was founded in London in July 2025.
