"Interior Ministry": Social Cohesion is a Safety Valve in the Face of the Occupation and Its Agents
The Ministry of Interior and National Security affirmed that social cohesion and popular rejection of chaos in Gaza represent a safety valve against the occupation and its agents, warning against the use of weapons in family disputes. It pointed to the assassination of Gaza's police chief and others, calling on families and clans to unite and spread a culture of tolerance.
The Ministry of Interior and National Security affirmed on Tuesday that social cohesion and popular rejection of chaos in the Gaza Strip represent a safety valve against the efforts of the Israeli occupation and its agents, warning against the use of weapons in family disputes. In a statement, the ministry said the General Directorate of Police, supported by security agencies, is making great efforts to stop attempts to spread chaos, despite the heavy price paid in the blood of its leaders, officers, and members whom the occupation deliberately targets while performing their duties. It noted that the latest of these crimes was the assassination of the police chief of Gaza Governorate, following the targeting of the police chief of North Gaza Governorate, the director of internal security in the Central Governorate, and the police chief of Jabalia camp center, along with several officers. The ministry called on the Palestinian people, families, and all clans to shoulder their responsibilities, warning against being drawn into disputes or misunderstandings that could turn into family mobilization and the use of weapons. It stressed that using weapons and firing in family disputes is a "major crime," affirming that the security establishment will take firm legal measures against those who fire, with the permanent confiscation of the weapons used. The ministry called on all clan components and national forces to unite and spread a culture of tolerance and reject violence.
