InterCure to receive NIS 230 million compensation for October 7 damages, stock soars

Cannabis company InterCure, controlled by Alex Rabinovich, has reached a final agreement with the Israel Tax Authority and the Compensation Fund regarding its claim for compensation for indirect damages caused to its fields in the October 7, 2023 attack. Under the agreement, the company will receive NIS 230 million in compensation. The company had claimed NIS 300 million and had already received NIS 111 million, so it is expected to receive an additional NIS 119 million from the Income Tax Authority. One of InterCure's main fields is in Nir Oz, where the central growing and production facility of its subsidiary, CannDoc, was severely damaged and shut down. During the attack, many workers were harmed, and two CannDoc employees were kidnapped to Gaza and returned safely to Israel as part of hostage release deals. After the attack, the Nir Oz compound served as a base for IDF forces. As of the time of publication, InterCure's stock is soaring 34% on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, but over the past five years it has fallen by nearly 87%. The company ended 2025 with a net loss of NIS 37 million, compared to NIS 73 million in 2024.
