The young fighters expressed peak motivation to serve in combat, saying they chose the corps deliberately, unlike the past when many asked "why armor?" Liran, one of the recruits, said: "At the end of the day, we want to exist here, to live here – this is our country." Dor, another recruit, noted the great need for soldiers: "Many soldiers are missing." Among the recruits, Natan, a young Haredi man, stood out, saying there was no question mark regarding his decision to enlist. His father, Oren, accompanied him on the moving day and said: "I support him in every decision," but admitted concerns: "There are thoughts, it stressed us out. We hope it will be okay, God willing." The Armored Corps School commander, Lt. Col. Daniel Ela, said the war proved the corps' strength: "In the end, this is the most decisive arm on land, the most powerful."
