In high-tech they receive less, security soars - and the Airports Authority leads them all

A survey by the company Va'adim for Rosh Hashanah 2026 reveals large gaps in the value of holiday gifts for employees in Israel, ranging from 250 to 1,400 shekels. Employees of the Airports Authority lead with 1,400 shekels, while in the high-tech sectors a slight decrease was recorded. At the same time, the security, energy, and transportation sectors saw sharp increases in the average gift value.

A survey by the company Va'adim for Rosh Hashanah 2026, conducted among more than 1,200 workplaces in Israel, reveals large gaps in the value of holiday gifts for employees. At the top of the ranking are employees of the Airports Authority with 1,400 shekels per employee, followed by employees of Elta and employees of the IAI's UAV plant with 1,300 shekels, and employees of Bank Yahav with 1,250 shekels. At the bottom of the table are employees of Metropolin with 250 shekels. BUYME data shows that the average gift value rose from 468 shekels in 2025 to 501 shekels this year. While in the high-tech sectors a slight decrease of about 3.5% was recorded to 523 shekels, in the security and cleaning sector a sharp increase of 50% was recorded to 566 shekels. In energy and environment companies, an increase of 39% was recorded to 819 shekels. Alongside the gift amount, the survey indicates a gradual shift to digital gifts, but still 30% of employees will receive a tangible gift. The total gift market is estimated at more than 5.5 billion shekels.
