In a 'good spirit': Segalovich and Abbas discussed joining Ra'am

MKs Mansour Abbas and Yoav Segalovich met and discussed 'in a good and positive spirit' the possibility that Segalovich would join the Ra'am list in the upcoming elections. The two agreed to continue direct contacts. Otzma Yehudit condemned the move, calling it 'the liquidation sale plan of the Jewish state'. Segalovich previously said that the connection with Ra'am is 'the most Zionist move' and that it could provide the votes to replace the government.

MKs Mansour Abbas, chairman of Ra'am, and Yoav Segalovich met and discussed 'in a good and positive spirit' the possibility that Segalovich would join the Ra'am list in the upcoming Knesset elections. In a joint statement, it was reported that the two agreed to continue direct contacts to advance the matter. The Otzma Yehudit party was quick to condemn the move, writing that 'before our eyes, the liquidation sale plan of the Jewish state is taking place in cooperation with the left'. It was also claimed that Abbas is trying, through Segalovich, to control the National Security Ministry, bring back the 'terrorist summer camps in prison', stop the demolitions in the Negev, and take over the Negev and Galilee Ministry. Segalovich said a few days ago that 'the connection between Ra'am and me is the most Zionist move that can be made', and that it could provide the missing votes to replace the government. He admitted that he understands the public reluctance to connect with Ra'am after October 7, but argued that the main goal is to replace the government, and his presence might make it easier for voters of the bloc to accept a constellation in which Ra'am would allow the formation of a government.
