The IDF told the French news agency (AFP) that the officer was wounded in a "close encounter" with Hezbollah terrorists. The soldier was evacuated for medical treatment at a hospital and his family was notified. In Lebanese media, reports of Israeli strikes in the south of the country. The Lebanese news agency reported that "enemy fire" attacked the Shiite village of Bani Hayyan, in the Nabatieh district. In Al-Mayadeen, affiliated with Hezbollah, a drone strike was reported in the village of Nabatieh al-Fawqa, in the same district.
