The IDF foiled large-scale Hamas attack preparations. Israeli forces detected signs of terrorists preparing strikes on Israeli civilians and soldiers. The IDF Air Force struck four Hamas-owned targets in various areas of the Gaza Strip. The targeted sites stored assault rifles, explosives, anti-tank missile systems, and other weapons intended for attacks on Israeli military personnel and civilians. Additionally, a strike on a vehicle in the Khan Yunis area eliminated senior Hamas official Anes Hamdan, who was previously responsible for organizing the release ceremony for hostages Ofer Kalderon and Yarden Bibas. The IDF noted that the eliminated operative posed a threat to Israeli soldiers. Earlier, the commander of the Nukhba unit and head of Hamas military intelligence, Hamouda Abu Daqa, was also reported killed.
