IDF documentation soldiers participated in two international aid missions following powerful earthquakes: the "Brit Re'im" mission to Colombia and a rescue mission to Venezuela. The documenters, equipped with cameras and assault rifles, recorded rescue and engineering operations, alongside the human drama and encounters between soldiers and local civilians. In Colombia, Sgt. H and Sgt. Y operated in the city of Cali, where they located 29 missing persons and scanned over 100 buildings. Sgt. H described the residents' mobilization as moving moments. Sgt. Y noted that the connection formed on the ground was purely an extension of a human hand, against the backdrop of previous pro-Palestinian protests. In Venezuela, Staff Sgt. S documented meetings with the local government and the engineering work of sorting buildings. One of the significant moments was documenting the local infrastructure minister informing a family that their home was unfit for habitation. S represents a new generation of operational documenters, who also operated in Gaza, Syria, and Lebanon, and documented the return of living hostages. During 12 days of activity in Colombia, the documenters produced over 1,000 photographs and video clips.
