IDF detonates strategic Hezbollah underground system, but it is not the last remaining

According to data presented to Defense Minister Israel Katz, the explosion constitutes a severe and strategic blow to Hezbollah. Officers in the Northern Command said they had known about the system for years, and that it was intended not only for observation and intelligence gathering but also for direct fire on communities and outposts. They added that there are additional infrastructures of this type that the IDF has not yet reached, and that the Lebanese army is incapable of handling them. In their view, if the IDF does not receive approval from the political echelon due to American restrictions, Hezbollah will continue to hold strategic assets. A security source described how Military Intelligence and the Northern Command understood the depth of the Iranian process in southern Lebanon and its sensitivity to Hezbollah's operational plan to conquer the Galilee.
