IDF declares Christian village of Taybeh a closed military zone

Prior to the announcement, Reuters news agency reported, citing a security source, that the reason for imposing the order is to prevent attacks by Jewish rioters. The order does not apply to Palestinians residing in the area. The IDF emphasized that entry to the area is prohibited for Israeli citizens and foreigners, and that journalists may enter the village as long as there is no danger to their lives or as long as they do not interfere with troop activities.
