In an interview with Channel 14, Dutch leader Geert Wilders attacked Europe's immigration policy, warned of the strengthening of Islam and anti-Semitism, and praised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his fight against jihadism. Wilders said he fights for freedom and security, and that social cohesion is impossible if Islam becomes a central factor in society, since, in his view, Islam seeks to dominate rather than integrate. He claimed that anti-Semitism in Europe is constantly on the rise, and that there is a close link between immigration and anti-Semitism. Wilders has great respect for Netanyahu, noting that he has done more to fight jihadism than all European leaders in the past decade. He also warned about Iran, which, he says, poses a geopolitical threat to the entire region and to Europe, and must not be allowed to possess nuclear capabilities.
