A young Argentine man was arrested in the Buenos Aires area after stealing a bus, impersonating a driver, and driving unsuspecting passengers along a regular route. The incident began in the early morning hours when the man, wearing a polo shirt of the bus company, boarded an empty bus at the terminal in Pontevedra and began driving. He traveled along the route of line 236, stopping at stations and picking up passengers who paid for the ride as usual, without anyone suspecting. The fraud was uncovered after the impersonating driver lightly scraped another bus from the same company. The second driver identified the vehicle but not the person, and alerted colleagues. The police located the bus after a journey of over 11 km. An undercover officer boarded as one of the passengers and arrested him. A knife was found on him. Prosecutor Fernando Capello ordered a psychiatric evaluation to determine his awareness of his actions. During the investigation, he admitted: "I always wanted to be a driver."
