“I felt blood in my mouth and saw faces full of hatred”: Bus driver attacked in Jerusalem

A Superbus company bus driver was attacked overnight in Jerusalem's Ramot neighborhood, losing four teeth and requiring medical treatment. He said he was unconscious for about two minutes. The workers' organization "Koach LaOvdim" condemned the attack, calling it a "lynching attempt." Police have opened an investigation and a complaint will be filed.

A bus driver for the Superbus company was attacked overnight (between Saturday and Sunday) in Jerusalem, in the Ramot neighborhood, as he was about to start a trip on line 2. The driver, whose full name was not published, stopped at a red light at the Eshkol-Ramot junction, and then several young people began hitting the sides of the bus. When he opened the window, he suffered severe blows that led to loss of consciousness, loss of four teeth, and bruises to his face. After regaining consciousness, he heard the young people continuing to threaten and curse him. He escaped from the junction, contacted the police, and was taken for medical treatment. A complaint will be filed with the police. The driver said: "I just started a shift, I hear heavy blows on the side of the vehicle. I just opened the window and I get hit with enormous blows. I was unconscious for maybe two minutes. When I came to, I feel blood in my mouth. Around me - curses and shouts and faces full of hatred. For what? I don't know. I just started a shift."
