"I accidentally marked myself as a terrorist": Israeli woman denied entry to UK

The mistake occurred due to pre-flight stress, and despite attempts to correct it, the system rejected her new application citing "deception." Her friend flew without her, and Yuval had to obtain a regular visa at a cost of 600 shekels.

At Ben Gurion Airport, while filling out a computerized ETA form under the pressure of check-in, Yuval accidentally marked "terrorist" on a question about involvement in a criminal incident. Her friend received immediate approval, but Yuval's application was denied. When she tried to resubmit, the system rejected her due to "deception." The Israeli embassy in London clarified that it has no access to the computerized system. Her friend flew without her, and Yuval had to return home with a full suitcase, losing 3,000 shekels on flight tickets. After sharing her experience on social media, she discovered she is not the only one who fell into this trap. She will now have to obtain a regular visa at the embassy at a cost of 600 shekels.
