A new collective agreement signed at the bus company "Kavim" will upgrade the employment conditions of about 2,000 drivers. The agreement, signed between the company management, the National Labor Federation, and the public transport drivers' organization, includes an addition of 6 shekels per hour to the base wage of 55.18 shekels, which will allow an income increase of up to 1,700 shekels per month. In addition, drivers will receive a one-time signing bonus of up to 1,000 shekels, an increased holiday gift of 700 shekels, and a meal allowance payment on a Cibus card of up to 24 shekels per day. A new mechanism of "safety and service quality" will link professional excellence to wages, granting an additional about 10% based on performance. The agreement also includes a welfare budget of one million shekels, legal accompaniment, wage indexation, and unlimited seniority increments. Kavim CEO Amir Asraf said the agreement expresses commitment to drivers, and the drivers' organization chairman Israel Ganun called it a "historic day".
