From August 1 to 13, Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces struck 240 energy facilities that, according to the Ukrainian side, are used by Russian troops. This was announced by the commander of the USF, Robert 'Madyar' Brovdi, on Telegram. The operation 'Crimean Switch off' continues: Ukrainian units are disabling energy facilities that support Russian radar and air defense systems. According to Brovdi, in the south of the temporarily occupied territories, 29 more energy nodes were hit, including the Balaklava Thermal Power Plant in Sevastopol, substations in the Zaporizhzhia region and near Mariupol, as well as the gas distribution station GRS-1 'Mariupol'. The Ukrainian command views these strikes as a way to weaken Russia's air defense system and create opportunities for subsequent attacks.
