The Houthi group announced it targeted what it called a "sensitive target" inside Saudi Arabia's Najran airport near the border with Yemen, in the latest escalation between the group and Saudi Arabia. The Houthis' military spokesman, Yahya Saree, said in a statement posted on the "X" platform that the group's forces carried out the attack using a drone, confirming that the hit was "precise," and noting that the operation came in response to "the Saudi drone aircraft violating Yemeni airspace in the provinces of Saada and Hajjah." Saree added that any "Saudi violation of Yemeni airspace will not pass without a response," vowing to continue operations against what he called the "Saudi enemy." The announcement comes amid rising tensions between the two sides in recent period, after the group announced targeting Saudi oil facilities and tankers, and imposing a "naval blockade" on Saudi Arabia, in response to Saudi measures against ports and airports under its control.
