Hit with a Schnitzel Hammer and Claimed Self-Defense: Detention Extended for Suspect in Binyahu Razi Murder Case

The court extended by seven days the detention of a 16-year-old minor suspected of involvement in the murder of Binyahu Razi, which occurred in an Airbnb apartment in the Nahlaot neighborhood of Jerusalem on July 11. The minor, whose name is forbidden to publish, was arrested on the day of the murder and has been in custody for 20 days. Police attribute to him involvement in causing Razi's death by striking him with a baton. In his investigation, the minor denied involvement in the stabbing and claimed that Razi intended to stab him, so he defended himself. His attorney, Adv. Jackie Segron, argues that the evidence at the scene supports the self-defense claim. Yesterday, the detention of three main suspects in ordering the murder was also extended: Agam Tzarefi, the deceased's ex-girlfriend; Shilat Huta, her friend; and Linoy Mazal Sasson, mother of Avior Sasson, another minor suspected of the fatal stabbing. According to the suspicion, at Sasson's home, the involved parties gathered, equipped themselves with knives, batons, and a schnitzel hammer, and went out to harm Razi.
