Hezbollah militants struck IDF engineering equipment with a kamikaze drone near the Ali Taher ridge in southern Lebanon, damaging it. The attack occurred within the so-called yellow line — the area of responsibility of the IDF's 36th Division. The military emphasized that this violates the current ceasefire between Israel and the group. According to the IDF, Hezbollah has been regularly using drones in southern Lebanon in recent days and weeks, mostly reconnaissance drones, to track the location of Israeli units. The damage to equipment is the first instance of an attack drone being used against Israeli equipment recently. The Israeli side also notes that the militants are trying to preserve weapons in the area and are strengthening positions in case of a new round of hostilities. Earlier, the IDF intercepted a Hezbollah reconnaissance drone, the debris of which caused a small fire; no one was injured.
