According to him, Hezbollah does not define itself as a Lebanese resistance but as an Islamic resistance in Lebanon, a goal that goes beyond the national framework. Raji noted that the Lebanese government decided a year and a half ago to disarm Hezbollah and define its military actions as illegal, and that the Lebanese army has begun deploying in pilot areas. He rejected the idea of separating the organization's military and political wings, emphasizing that the top priority is its disarmament. Raji added that the vast majority of Lebanese, including a growing segment within the Shiite community, aspire to a state monopoly on the use of force, but many refrain from saying so publicly for fear of their safety.
